Graduated pharmacist at Freie University (FU) of Berlin in 1998. Synthesis of NMDA-receptor ligands, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department FU Berlin, 1999-2000. Masters of Law degree with highest honors in "Intellectual Property Rights and Copy Right" (LL.M.) at Humboldt-University Berlin, 2001.

Valuable experience in patent, trademark and registered design proceedings in Australia and New Zealand whilst working in an internationally renowned patent law firm in Sydney, 2001-2002. In-house patent professional at a research based pharmaceutical company in Berlin firstly responsible for a high competitive R & D field in oncology, 2002-2005.

Admission as German Patent Attorney, European Trade Mark and Design Attorney, European Patent Attorney at the European Patent Office, 2006. Co-operation with a renowned German patent law firm and since 2008 in private practice.

Joined Prinz & Partner in 2010.

Regular lectures on intellectual property law, IP expert at the start-up initiative Science4Life.

Professional Activity

Preparation of patent and utility model applications in the areas of chemistry and medicinal products.

Preparation of trademark and design applications.

Examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, German Federal Patent Court, European Patent Office, European IP Office, and supervision of foreign proceedings, in particular USA.

Advice in employee invention rights and licensing agreements. Preparation od complex legal opinions.
