Studied mechanical engineering, specializing in aerospace technology at the Technical University of Munich, received a Diploma of Engineering in 1994. Passed the German patent bar examination in 1997.

European Patent and Trademark Attorney since 1998.

Master of Law in European Intellectual Property, Masters thesis on the protection of intellectual property as a fundamental right.

Regular lectures for different bar associations in the U.S. and Japan. Member of GRUR (German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).

Joined Prinz & Partner in 1991.

Professional Activity

Preparation of patent and utility model applications in the area of mechanical and materials engineering.

Examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court and the European Patent Office, supervision of patent grant proceedings abroad, especially in the USA.

Preparation of portfolio and licensing strategies and opinions on validity and infringement of intellectual property rights.

National and international patent litigation, ITC proceedings in the U.S. Invalidity and revocation proceedings before the German Federal Court of Justice.

Languages: German, English, French.
